General Settings
Parameter Default Setting Description
Date dd mmm yyyy

Print on Mark On Prints a 3 second strip when “Mark” is pressed.
Print on Charge On Prints a continuous strip during charging until a shock is delivered, device is disarmed, or “Strip” is pressed.
Print on Shock On Prints a 12 second strip when a shock is delivered.
Print on Alarm On Prints a 6 second strip during alarms.
Printer Delay 6 Sec Delay Prints 6 seconds of information present prior to printer activation.
Pace Pulse Markers Leads & Pads Shows pace pulse markers on the ECG when an internal pacemaker is detected.
ECG Lead Cable 3-Lead Selects monitoring electrodes source.
QRS Beeper On Audible beep with each QRS.
Power on Lead Paddle Mode  

AED Settings

Parameter Default Setting Description
AED Shock Series 1 Maximum number of shocks before prompting to check patient, pulse, and begin CPR.
Shock Series Timer 60 Sec Defines the number of seconds that must pass before the next shock is considered the first shock of a new shock series, rather than the next shock of the current shock series.
Device Initiated Analysis On Initiates ECG analysis when the Heartstream XL is turned on in AED mode for new use.
Automatic Re-Analysis On Initiates ECG analysis in between shocks within a shock series.
Rhythm Monitoring On Monitors the ECG for potentially shockable rhythms when the Heartstream XL is not analyzing, defibrillating, or paused.
“Check Patient” Timer 30 Sec Defines how often (in seconds) the “Check Patient” prompt is repeated when Rhythm Monitoring detects a potentially shockable rhythm.
European Protocol Off For European market needs.
“Pause” Timer 120 Sec Defines the duration of the pause time (in seconds) when “Pause” is pressed.
Lead Select On Turns on ECG monitoring via ECG leads.

Manual Settings

Parameter Default Setting Description
Sync After Shock On Determines if the Sync function stays on after a synchronized shock is delivered.
Display Shock Counter On Determines if the number of shocks delivered appears on the display during an event.
Display Incident Time On Determines if the elapsed time appears on the display during an event.

ECG Filter Settings

AC Line Filter 60 Hz  
Pads ECG for Display Monitor (.15-40 Hz) Display filter frequency for the therapy cable attached.
Pads ECG for Printer Monitor (.15-40 Hz) Printer filter frequency for the therapy cable attached.
Leads ECG for Display Monitor (.15-40 Hz) Display filter frequency for the monitoring electrodes ECG.
Leads ECG for Printer Diag (.05-150 Hz) Printer filter frequency for the monitoring electrodes ECG.
